So what, I’m lazy
I have been meaning to throw something up here, just didn’t know quite what, since a lot of projects are in weird places right now, and my focus has been on finallllyyy getting a website together (About 3 years too late).
Super secret video seems like its almost done(?).. so that should come out soon, and allegedly the guy we did it for likes it, so it could lead to more work… cool!
Shooting stills of another band next Sunday I think… I don’t know, I just do what TeuxDeux tells me to do each day. And then I look at the “Someday” section and cry.
Anyway, I should have a slew of new stuff to post verrrryyyy soon… but in the meantime, since at least one person is reading this thing, and he likes RED cameras, I figured I’d throw up some old ish.
I’m bummed because the cool picture I really wanted to share must be at work, so this one will have to do:
Here is a RED cam, thrown on its side on a couple of sandbags and apple boxes, because the producer that built the camera package (Read: THIS GUY«<) didn’t get a Dutch head. It leads me to the point of this post though. If you are in any position of authority on set, or even if you’re a PA who sharpens pencils… two people to have on your good side at all time… 1st AC, and Key Grip. And if you produce, get to know the best people you can for these roles.
The other pic demonstrates this MUCH better, as making the difference from trying to get the shot and killing someone and losing $100,000 worth of gear in the process, and shooting a sweet shot with all the wrong equipment, and still getting it done safely. Big props to Mike C. and Dougie.
This was our Key/Dolly, Chuck, on a casino opening shoot, and he was a champ. something like 12 - 12-hour days leading up to Christmas, and this guy had the greatest attitude and energy after long days of busting his ass and getting everything set in record time.
For Moustachette I don’t even think we had an AC every day ( I didn’t work in camera so I don’t know) so I know whenever Louis was around it helped a ton by taking some of the pressure off of the rest of the camera crew.
Alright thats all I feel like blogging right now. I’m tired and its damn cold. I’ll try to get a few BTS pics of the couple of shoots I have coming up in the next 2 weeks and keep this thing poppin… I hope.
